How to keep pace with growing demand for Kubernetes jobs

According to Indeed, between October 2015 and October 2019, the share of Kubernetes jobs per million grew by 2,141% while the share of Kubernetes job searches increased by 2,125%. However, during that time span, Indeed found that while Kubernetes jobs per million grew 53%, the amount of Kubernetes job searches rose by only .85% [1]. As the demand for job candidates with Kubernetes skills continues to increase, it’s important for students to learn skills that prepare them to enter the workforce and meet the needs of today’s enterprises.

Terraform is an open-source infrastructure as code software tool. Learn how it can be utilized to manage and automate your AWS cloud infrastructure. We'll start off by setting up a free AWS account to play around with and move on to setting up and installing Terraform on a Windows/MAC/Linux machine. From there we'll move on to deploying our first resource through terraform and learning other core concepts. You'll even get a chance to setup a simple web server in AWS.

Cisco Networking Academy Evolution Meetings 7-8 Nov 2019 -- Presentations

More than 80 attendees from Networking Academies in Belgium took part in the info sessions on 7 and 8 November 2019. More than a quarter of participants are education managers and coordinators. 

The Digital Economy has started to play a role in the world of education. The first education domains influenced will be technology and business programs at all education levels. In IT Infrastructure and Networking a very big change will be the evolution "from CLI to API". Managing systems and networks will be based on APIs.

In the second semester of the academic year 2019-2020 a large number of instructor workshops will be provided to allow teachers to prepare for the upcoming changes in the curriculum. Topics will be: Network Programmability (DevNet), (Cyber) Security, Packet Tracer (Autocorrection & Multilink) and topics like Wireless Network Management to support new modules in CCNAv7.

BiASC wants to thank Henallux, Digital Wallonia, Cisco BeLux and Cisco CSR for their brilliant support.

CCNA Certification firstly becomes more "generic". Moreover, it becomes also more "specialistic". I am very happy for Devnet certification and for the new names of the specific certifications tracks: Enterprise; Security; Datacenter; Service Provider; Collaboration.

VMware IT Academy - Content Roadmap - 2019

Rough VITA content roadmap outline:

• Introduction to virtualization course will be expanded with a cloud chapter extending it to 10 hours of material – ETA H2 2019
• Business Critical Applications course is nearing release stage – ETA H2 2019
• Introduction to Software Defined Networks is being worked on as we speak – ETA H1 2020
• vSphere – Install, Configure and Manage version 6.5 is receiving an extended end of life in the IT Academy program. Also the PSE vouchers and vSphere Foundations 6.5 PSE exam will remain available for the academic institutions to leverage
