Packet Tracer Challenge - 25/02/2015

Dear participant to the TCE event in Diegem on the 26th of Feruary next week,

As mentioned in the announcement of the event, participants have the option to join the Packet Tracer challenge on Wednesday the 25 of February.

There are 2 moments to join the PT challenge:
Time slot 1: Wednesday 25 February between 1 PM and 4 PM.
Time slot 2: Wednesday 25 February between 6 PM and 9 PM.

The challenge will take approx. 1,5 hr to complete, you can work on the challenge from any location with your computer.
You need to have internet access and the latest version of Packet Tracer installed on your computer.
The scoring is done by Netacad, it is not possible to question the outcome.
The winners will be recognized at the end of the Talent Connection Event at the Cisco office in Diegem and will receive a nice price.
If the winner is not present, the price will go the next highest scorer.

If you want to participate you need to reply to this mail before Tuesday the 24th of February, providing the following information:
Name, mail-address, time-slot (1 or 2)

After registration it is NOT possible to change your time slot.
Depending on your chosen time-slot you will receive the Packet Tracer challenge file and the question sheet at the start of your time-slot (1 PM or 6 PM).
After you finish the challenge and filled the question sheet you have to resend ONLY the question sheet to my mail-address in time.
For time slot 1 the deadline for sending in the sheet is 4 PM
For time slot 2 the deadline is 9 PM

Question sheet received after the deadline will be out of competition.

Preparation for Talent Connection Event - 26-02-2015

For several years Cisco has hosted a talent connection event giving students of the CCNA level the opportunity to meet and talk to Cisco partners. This years we expect quite a few job offerings for students at the right level.

The next TALENT CONNECTION EVENT takes place on 26 February 2015 at Cisco in Diegem.

In order to prepare your students for personally taking advantage of the career opportunities, the following points are necessary:

1. Students should have CCNA level competences (or higher)
2. Students register online before 5 February:
   http://talentbelgium2015.netacad.eu
3. Students email their CV to Cisco before 5 February: [email protected]
4. Students work through online learning materials to improve their knowledge of the Cisco product portfolio and enhance their business skills

5. Optionally, students take part in a Packet Tracer (PT) competition to show their technical and troubleshooting skills. More information will follow soon.

HOW
Step 1 – Request a CCO ID on www.cisco.com.
Step 2 – Associate yourself with BiASC as your Cisco partner
Step 3 – Go to www.cisco.com/go/pec and login
Step 4 – Search for a training within a domain of your interest. 
Step 5 – Some trainings require a test to officially obtain the certification.

Cisco Sales Expert

We advise students who registered for the Cisco Talent Connection event at Cisco Diegem on 26 February to improve their chances by studying Cisco's product portfolio and Cisco's approach of the market.

Cisco Sales Essentials v6.0 is a 5 and half hour course that provides Partner account managers (AMs) and Sales Engineers (SEs) with the introductory information they need to sell Cisco solutions. The Partner AM and SE will earn the Cisco Sales Expert designation by passing the Cisco Sales Expert exam that is associated with this course. This course covers Cisco Partnering and Profitability, Business Transformation, Cisco Architectures (Borderless Networks, Collaboration, Video, Data Center/Virtualization/Cloud), Small Business, Services, Cisco Capital, Partner Resources and Networking Basics.
