Benelux Academy Day - Cisco Amsterdam - 17 May 17

   

At the Academy Day organized in collaboration with Cisco Amsterdam we were able to welcome more than 80 delegates from education to learn about new developments in the ICT domain and about new online curricula. The Academy Day is becoming a prime networking event for innovation in education. An interesting evolution is that there is a lot of support from the IT sector with offerings from Cisco, Oracle, CompTIA, LPI, NDG, Suse and FastLane.

Message from the winning university college

Puike prestatie van Umut Saglam, derdejaarsstudent ICT. Umut wint de ‘Packet Tracer Challenge Award’, een initiatief van Cisco, wereldleider op het vlak van netwerkapparatuur en telecommunicatie. Umut nam deel aan een netwerkcompetitie voor studenten (uit verschillende hogescholen). Uitdaging: los een ingewikkeld netwerkprobleem op. Hij won met glans en krijgt een unieke vijfdaagse training aangeboden door sponsor Fast Lane.

Packet Tracer Challenge - Prizes to win at the Cisco Talent Connection Event

All students attending the Cisco Talent Connection event have the option to join the Packet Tracer challenge.

The challenge will take place on 1 March at your own location, no need to travel.
 
There are 2 moments to join the PT challenge:

Time slot 1: Tuesday 1 March between 2 PM and 5 PM
Time slot 2: Tuesday 1 March between 6 PM and 9 PM
 
The challenge will take approx. 90 minutes to complete. You can work on the challenge from any location with your computer.

You need to have internet access and the latest version of Packet Tracer (6.0 or later) installed on your computer.
The scoring is performed automatically by Netacad. It is not possible to question the outcome.

Packet Tracer Now Supported by Chrome

The Networking Academy assessment system was updated to address an issue where assessments containing Packet Tracer were incompatible with Chrome and Edge browsers. In addition, there were a few minor changes to the user experience for consistently across assessment types.

Networking Academy would like to CCNA and IT Essentials instructors to motivate students  to self enroll into the Packet Tracer Know How course.

Packet Tracer 101 is designed for new users of Packet Tracer for self-study and familiarization of Packet Tracer. It includes 3 chapters, 1 hands-on activity, 1 quiz and a survey.

• the difference between logical views and physical views

About Packet Tracer

Packet Tracer is software for educational use, it can not and will not replace real equipment
Packet Tracer does not contain any code from Cisco IOS® , it simulates the behavior of network equipment
Packet Tracer does not support all IOS commands, it can support most of the commands used in CCNA R&S

New Packet Tracer 6.1

The Packet Tracer 6.1 release includes fixes to many bugs reported by the community and provides the following new protocol support and enhanced functionality:

● ASA5505 device support
● Enhanced NetFlow support
● Enhanced OSPF, OSPFv3, EIGRP, and EIGRPv6 support

Please follow these instructions to download the software:

1. Log in to Cisco NetSpace
2. Select Offerings > CCNA
