In 2023-2024 we will experience the next evolution of the Cisco Academy platform. Step-by-step we will be moving to the new SkillsForAll platform with more possibilities for teachers and learners. The main focus remains on problem-based learning and practical applications.
More than thirty IT and technology courses are available for your students. The quality of the learning materials will undergo no change. All courses are highly interactive and rich in media, giving feedback to learners when it is required and allowing teachers to follow up individual students and classes.

In July 2024 the Cisco NetAcad & SkillsForAll platforms will be united under a new name. The change is important to underline that professional IT education is much more than just one topic. The platform will provide interactive problem-based IT course materials in multiple domains at three levels.
At convergence in July 2024 there are actions some users need to take before to 22 February 2024. Only those users with multiple accounts need to take action.
No action required for most users
For all partners, instructors and students who use the blue Cisco Networking Academy login button to access SkillsForAll, no action is required. And, for users who are only using either netacad.com or skillsforall.com, no action is required.
Users who have an account on netacad.com with one email and use a different email address for their account on skillsforall.com
If you want course history to be merged in July 2024, you need to change your netacad.com email address to match skillsforall.com prior to 22 February 2024. We do not recommend instructors change their email address as all instructors must use their NetAcad login to have the credentials to open classes on Skills for All so instructor email accounts should match.
Students who have not logged into netacad.com since January 2021
The account of these students account will be considered inactive and will be removed in February 2024. To resolve this, students simply need to log into netacad.com prior to 22 February 2024.

As of October 2023 the Belgian IT Academy Support Center will facilitate member institutions in proctoring specific Certiport Certification exams.
For the purpose of proctoring, a trusted person from the BiASC organization will visit your academy in order for your students to take the certification exam locally.
When registering for a certification exam, the candidate will pay the exam fee to Certiport.
For proctoring the only expenses that will be taken into account by BiASC is the cost for travelling to the exam location. The normal travel cost will be 30 euros for BiASC members.
In the academic year 2023-2024 no other costs will be invoiced to exam participants.

Facilitated by the ETTCS Erasmus+ Project and by Cisco SkillsForAll, BiASC organized a student hackathon with a challenging student final on 20 October 2023. The winning students are from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences based in Geel, Antwerp, Belgium: Bjorn Van Den Dungen and Sooi Vervloessem.
In Antwerp the Hackathon was facilitated by Gunther Van Landeghem en Liesbeth Kenens. In Brussels, it was Guido Van De Velde taking care of the organization. The students in Brussels are from Odisee University of Applied Sciences. In Wallonia the IFAPME competence center of Charleroi took part facilitated by Bob Mulumba.
BiASC is ready to facilitate more student hackathons and takes part intensively with the European Cybercup Challenge by Cisco SkillsForAll.

Networking Academy and SkillsForAll are inviting Networking Academy instructors to enroll students in the new "Introduction to CyberSecurity" course on the new SkillsForAll platform. The goal is to involve new IT students enrolled at your academy. It is possible to also allow business students to enter the Learn-A-Thon, because the content is relevant for any professional.
Phase 1 - All students - Participate in the Learn A Thon - Introduction to CyberSecurity
The "Learn-A-Thon" runs between 23 October to 19 November. Your students need only to spend 6 hours of their time during the competition weeks.
In this part as many as students are required in order to allow your institution to gain entrance to the next phase.
Phase 2 - Cisco European Battle Royale, a contest to become Cybersecurity champions
The Top 16 Academies participating with the highest points will be invited with a group of four students to a "Capture The Flag" competition on 1 December.
The competition will be at the complexity level of CCST CyberSecurity and CCST Networking Essentials.

For the seventh time, the Belgian IT Academy Association & Support Center is involved in the Europe North Instructor Training organized throughout the academic year 2023-2024. For all members the online training will be in the form of interactive webinars.
The first session of each track giving an overview and a planning is planned in the week of 30 October. After registration you will receive all the necessary details to join your training session. More than 500 participants from the Benelux, the Scandinavian countries and the Baltic states have been invited . It is important to enroll as soon as possible. The main input from the BiASC instructor trainers are the Cybersecurity tracks, the Networking tracks and the Infrastructure Automation tracks.
