For the fourth time since 2020, BiASC invites members of the Belgian Networking Academy to participate in remote instructor training. The new series of Networking Academy Instructor Trainings will start in March 2022.
Also, BiASC is planning in-person events at two locations in Belgium on 6 and 13 and May. On 20 May we intend to organize a Talent Connection Event with Cisco partner companies for students looking for a job in IT, networking and security. Detailed information will be provided at a later date.

New teachers of all levels of education are welcome: Secondary Education, Adult Education and Higher Education. The program offers courses at different levels, from introductory to advanced. Educational ICT coordinators may also find this program of great interest. Please share this information with your interested colleagues.
Once you have registered, don't forget to make a reservation in your own diary. You can follow the activities in a Webex Teams space with video briefings and real-time demonstrations. On 6 and 13 May BiASC is planning in-person workshops on interesting parts of the NetAcad program and related IT programs. More information will follow in due course.
The new training courses will begin the week of 7 March 2022. Each course will take place in a specific time slot, either in the afternoon or evening.
Instructor Training Program
The training program offers instructor training for the following courses:
- CCNA 1 Introduction to Networks
- CCNA 2 Routing & Switching
- CCNA 3 Enterprise Network Security & Automation
- CCNP ENCOR
- Networking Security
- Cyber Ops Associate
- Cyber Security Essentials
- DevNet Associate
- Python Essentials
- IT Essentials
- Cloud Security (new)
For new instructors, we recommend two 60-minute training sessions: Intro to Networking Academy and Intro to Packet Tracer.
Once you have received your accreditation, you can immediately start teaching the course via the NetAcad learning management system (LMS).
The Europe North Instructor Training project is organised in close cooperation with Cisco Networking Academy (Europe North) and the ASC/ITCs in the Benelux, Scandinavia and the Baltic states. In most cases, the courses are held in English. If enough candidates request a course in French, this may be possible.
It is important to note the aims of the Instructor Training
- The Instructor training is a preparation for a teacher to start teaching a specific Cisco Networking Academy course.
- The main part of the training consists of briefings, demonstrations, and didactic tips (20%).
- Self-study and personal work is required outside the online sessions (80%).
- At the end of the training there is a formal part consisting of a final exam (conceptual) and a skills exam (practical).
- A participant who successfully completes the exams will receive industry-specific accreditation to teach the course. For this second part, a proctor-level instructor trainer will be involved.

There is a common registration form for all Cisco Academies in the Europe North and Benelux regions: EN Instructor Training Registration Form
