On 14 June about 70 Cisco Academy instructors, advisors and experts from Belgium and Luxemburg were present at the Cisco NetAcad Workshop Day. Key presenters were both Cisco specialists as well as NetAcad Instructors.

Takeaways from the Keynotes and Breakout Sessions

• We are entering a new wave in Cisco industrial certification, CCNA becoming more generic, and allowing professionals to choose a specialism. What you have learned until now remains relevant.
• Career specializations are divided in the following groups: Enterprise; Security; Collaboration; DataCenter & Service Provider.
• The main Cisco NetAcad learning tracks will be divided in two groups: exploration and career-oriented.
• The career-ready tracks will be CCNA Enterprise; Security & CyberSecurity; Internet of Things & DevNet.

Next Academic Year 2019-2020

• Cisco Academies do not have to adapt their planned schedule for the following academic year.
• In November the new online courses will be ready for evaluation.
• BiASC and Cisco NetAcad will be providing timely information to member academies.
• From November onwards specific workshops will be planned by Cisco and BiASC to help everyone through the transition.
