Between 150 and 200 NetAcad students and more than 20 NetAcad instructors attended the Talent Connection Event at the Cisco Office in Diegem, organized in cooperation with the Belgian IT Academy Support Center (BiASC). The main goal of the annual event is to provide an informal context for newcomers on the job market to find their true potential, after being trained in a Cisco Networking Academy.

In the morning keynote sessions participants learned about new trends in the economy that influence future careers. Hugues de Pra of Cisco gave important insights about recent trends in infrastructure and the need for trained professionals. Lorena Marciano and a colleague gave a great talk about women in IT. Rik Bleeker helped us discover the new Talent Bridge tool.
In the afternoon students were able to discover their professional value in informal interviews with Cisco partners like Dimension Data, TechData, Proximus, Bechtle, Econocom, Spot-IT, Devoteam, Computacenter, Rank-1, Aussy, Simac, Interligo, Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel and Destiny.
