With his retirement coming up, we thank Arie for his authentic interest in technology education and for being who he was. Fortunately, Arie has been more than happy during 90% of his time at Networking Academy.
Dear friends and colleagues,
After almost 18 years of Netacad experience with 14 of them at Cisco as the Program manager for the Benelux it's time to go.
The first 17 years were an inspiring, exiting, satisfying and fun ride and I really thank all of you that were part of that and made it happen.
I was looking forward to work on the implementation of the Dutch CDA program for the years to come but despite my commit to Karsten to stay until the finalization of the CDA program, I decided to come back to this promise due to developments in the Dutch setup this last year.
So I will end this journey here and now and go for a (part-time) early retirement and some exiting projects outside of Cisco, like improving my golf handicap, travel through Europe in our camper, enjoying my grand daughter, promoting fiber technology in education and reactivate my activities in 3rd world IT projects.
I wish you all a very fruitful continuation of your journey and we might meet again.

It sure will be different from now on. But wish you well and a gorgeous time with all your new projects.
Sure hope we will meet up again sometime in the near future...
