Bring IoT To Life | Experiences & Best Practices With Hackathons

For the Networking Academy Partner Summit in Berlin, Yvan Rooseleer prepared a presentation for a best practices workshop on 15 November 2016. The title of the workshop was Bring IoT To Life #netacadPS16

 

Main points
  • Students need to be well prepared both in business modelling and in IoT technology (one or two months)
  • During a Hackathon students teams should be multidisciplinary (IT, Business, ...)
  • Teachers and coaches need to be well prepared on how to coach for innovation and creativity
  • The jury should consist of a mix of business companies, incubators and professionals from education
  • The topic of the hackathon has to be a real challenge for the participants
